Saw this article talking about how CBS and Showtime are now in the market for live sports to broadcast on it's streaming platforms. To late for us this round, but will only help us down the road as more of these platforms look for content to fill space with. Just a matter of time before Apple/Netflix/HULU/CBS/Prime and others grab some of the college football market...

P.S. only 16 weeks till college football starts!

If that moves games out of the non-subscriber realm, it may not be good.  The way this streaming thing is going, it is going to be as expensive as cable, but without the 567 channels with nothing on them.

This is what I have been saying for sometime. Everyone is farts and giggles over streaming but the prices will continue to rise and the screen will continue to freeze for sports.

The upcoming generation doesn’t even watch TV, cord-nevers.

Old people too are getting rid of tv.

My comment was directed to price points. By the time you add internet provider, monthly charges from whatever service you are using (YouTube, etc.), you are getting awfully close to regular cable prices. Then say the kid wants Disney+...another $6. These price will start to creep up more and more. Wireless will be yesterday’s cable at some point.

Anymore you have to have internet access to your home with or without TV, so that is a wash.

Even if I end up paying as much in the long run, I still prefer a la carte streaming over 500 + channels I don't want or need and not getting what I want.

As with everything else, the fragmentation will iron itself out as the consumers show the streaming providers what they want and will pay for.

I can't rely on internet in my area to watch tv.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
