I guess if you treat like a catch, never had possession. In other words, it would have been an incomplete pass as well.

Awkward play, UCF catches yet another break.

since when is a punt return "like a reception" ??

he caught it & hit the ground.

that should be down.

Especially when called fair catch. To me, the play is dead when he makes the initial catch.

sounds so bogus.

ive never heard the "rule" that punt returns are treated like receptions.

especially with the NCAA/NFL trying to minimize injury risk of return plays I don't see how a punt is treated like a reception, much less HOW it can be treated like a reception.

what would be the equivalent of an incomplete pass in the return game??

sounds like selective interpretation by the officials & in-game commentators.

LSU dominated this game and Joe Burrow deserves to throw another TD pass just to stick it to em.

I'm enjoying this... They need to be humbled.

Love seeing UCF getting beaten, but can’t stand how the announcers fall back into tge company line about strength of schedule and UCF doesn’t have the OL to compete.  Didn’t they beat an SEC line from Auburn last year?

Yeah nobody said UCF had the top G5 defense not even close to it.

If Milton was in this game they would be in this no doubt.
