Stetson keeping it close, USF launches in the second half. Won't be close. Bulls crush 'em.

I think going into the year guard play was a known issue. This was the worst I have seen the front court all year. They had a few moments but if Collins can’t get going (and he will be keyed on every game) then we have trouble. Roseau is excellent at driving but he can make some doneheaded passes at times. Brown has a lot of talent but can be streaky. Castaneda is the one I have the most problem with. He is really green. Have to hope all of these guys get better as they get more PT.

Aren't guards the back court?

Just watched the replay on the 3.  What was CBG doing taking Brown out when the other team was shooting free throws?  If we needed to get the ball on the next possession into the hands of someone that can actually make a FT don't you want Brown out there?  Heck, for that matter Kiir can shoot better than our 2 starting guards.  Maracevic (sp?) has a decent touch from the line and I believe he was out there.

This 5 - 2 record is looking a lot like football's 7 - 0 start.  Don't read too much into it.  63% FTs for the year? That won't come back to hurt you in conference play.

We never can put things together. If memory serves, wasn't last year's team one of the best FT shooting teams in school history?

As bad as they looked last night I think this team is light years better than last year. If their foul shooting was even slightly better they beat Georgetown.  They’re  effort in the last two games were significantly below what we saw in the Bahamas.

It is not encouraging however that their starting point guard can’t shoot free  throws. If we’re going to be in a lot of close games as Coach Gregory says we will be,  it will not bode well if they don’t get better from the line.

You hate to take your starting PG out but it could turn into a Hack-a-Shaq thing.

In the last two games at home USF has allowed her opponents to shoot over 45% from the field. In Their previous games  they kept the appointment field gold percentage in the 30s. Just goes to show the lack of effort they put in and the last two games

Maybe they should just run the offense through him the first 5-7 minutes of every half. Get their starting five in foul trouble and then we can capitalize down the stretch-and maybe in the mean time he'll learn to make free throws with how often he'll be shooting them.

That's actually a good idea.
