Gilbert detractors...you lose...this was the best coached offensive game since...I don't know when.

Agreed!

I even liked the 4th down goal line call, that PI goes uncalled a lot. Not too much deep ball, killed the clock when we needed to. I'm happy... when does Texas stop paying all of our coaches? Strong may stay, I think the coordinators may be hard to keep.

Gilbert took what the defense gave them, but the thing is, the defense sorely underestimated Barnett's ability to run. He did a fine job.

I would only question the goal line pick play (which later worked on 4th and 1 to seal it).

As for BB running, I thought he did a great job of recognizing man coverage with the backs of defenders to him and took off in the right spots. He had another big one that could have been sprung wide open with 1 block.

Three HB dives in a row on the goal line in the first half...smh.

Other than that, Barnett is the real deal and was deadly accurate.

He got greedy before the half when he should have been taking what the defense gave him there.  Otherwise I think he did excellent managing the offense.  In the future when we play less talented opponents I dont'twant to see us take the throttle off and wind up in a Houston situation again.

Pretty much agree here. Even the pass play on 4th & 1 wasn't a bad call, considering we were stuffed on the previous two plays.

I must say, Barnett has been outstanding, especially considering that he hasn't played much at all over the past couple of years, and the fact that he was just recently named the starting QB. Really fun to watch.
