Is it better for the program to have a kid commit and then de-commit, or simply wait till they are absolutely sure?

It's only good for the program when a kid signs his LOI.  All the theater before is entertaining but signing on the dotted line is the only thing that's truly good for a program.

I would say neither are necessarily better for the program. The best thing is them to commit early and convince others to come with them.

I can’t imagine it ever being good for the program when you don’t get a guy.

If someone commits and others decide to come based on them and then they flip at the last minute and the others don’t i would say that commitment and flip was better for the program as it got others on board.

There are a few players we've had that we might have been better off had they decommitted and chosen another school.
