While watching the Golf Channel just a few minutes ago someone brought up the bad weather that plagues The Memorial tournament quite often.  So legend has it that the course was built on an Indian Burial Ground.  Supposedly Nicklaus's wife brought a glass of gin to the grave of the Chief.  They said she didn't know whether he drank bourbon.

What we need is for someone to do research into which Indian Tribe occupied the area and find out what the Chief liked to drink.  Assuming we can't come up with any thing I'll offer try to bury a bottle of bourbon somewhere next to the Sun Dome and hope that being made from primarily corn that that is sufficient.

This is all just for laughs because I found it funny to hear the phrase Indian Burial Ground relating to a jinx at something other than USF.

Tocobaga Indians
Where They Were Located
The Tocobaga Indians were located in the Tampa Bay area.
Lifestyle
They killed fish, shellfish, manatees, deer, rabbits, armadillo, squirrels, and corn. They also ate a variety of berries, nuts, and fruit. They drank red ale.
What Happened to Them?
Around 1528, Panfilo de Narvaez arrived in the Tocobaga territory. His men brought disease and war and eventually the Tocobaga Indians became extinct.

Culture
Their houses were round and built poles holding up a roof of palm thatches. They built mounds, a large pile of earth, shells, and stones. The chief's house and the tribe's temple were each built on a mound. They also built burial mounds outside the main village areas as a place for burying the dead.
Weapons
They used a tool called the adz for digging. The adz was made of a shell or pointed stone tied to the end of a curved branch. For hunting they used a spear called the atlatl.

So a bottle of Killians should do the trick.  Great work Dave.

Cigar City being from Tampa may work better.  So we need to bury a bottle or 2 or 1,000 next to the Dome.

This needs to be a big time student event on campus. It definitely needs to be recorded so television can play it when we are winning a crazy amount of games next year. 😋
