The argument that "whatever helps the AAC also helps USF" is flawed logic. There can be any number of situations where the contrary is true, in both directions.

Personally I don't want to move to the B12, but I would jump to the ACC in a heartbeat. This would help USF tremendously and hurt the AAC.

UCF joining the AAC can also be an example of the opposite direction, especially regarding recruiting. When we are a "step above" the kanniggitts, our recruiting should be as well. When highscoolers see us as equivalent, that hurts us.

That said, I like having UCF as a rival. Gives us someone to hate unconditionally. Eff them.

Go Bulls!!

Assuming none of use ever get to a P5 conference (which is more and more likely), the logic of other teams in the conference doing well helps USF is not flawed.

True, we do get a few games were people watch but no one‘s going to be catching East Carolina versus Tulane.

Who's going to watch NC vs Syracuse, or Duke? You can pick the worst of every conference. By the same token, the top of the P5 conference will sell more tickets and TV than any G6.

More will watch the two schools you named than ECU vs Tulane...our list of bad match ups is much longer.

You still havent answered how UCF hurts USF by being in our conference?

For one of the same reasons that UF, FSU and Miami wouldn't want us, or any other Florida FBS team, to join their conference ...... In one of those rare blind squirrel/nut scenarios, lob nailed it:

And I did already answer that question, you chose to ignore it:

I remember when Miami joined the ACC, I dont remember FSU trying to block them. You know what? FSU still won national championships and ACC championships and Miami has none. USF controls their own success regardless of who joins the league. I get your perspective, I simply do not share it.

FSU and Miami were each established national programs playing each other already.

I would think the TV profit differential is negligible at the bottom of every conference compared to the top.

Go to page 6. I picked NC because they suck, but you can put together poorly watched games from the rankings. My only point is don't pick the bottom of the conference as an example.

BTW, the AAC is still #6 in attendance.

Exactly. Horrible analogy. The scenarios could not have been more different
