Maybe, I Think people are misremembering how much of Q's running around was necessary......  I think a QB that can have that kind of escapability will be even more important this season. White has had a great career at WKU but one thing is still constant, he's not the same QB when he doesn't have a clean pocket.

CWT could not develop the talent of drop back passing Quarterbacks.

I think he's saying CWT couldn't keep the kid upright, which helps when you're passing the football. We've never had a solid pass blocking oline that I can recall. All of the greats have been athletic scrambles.

I think he's trolling and just snagged something on the line.

Come on, man, Mr George is 110 years old. You need to cut him some slack ...

The internet is a harsh environment. He's got to adapt.

How many offensive lineman have ever been drafted from USF? We haven't had good lines and the time we didn't have a mobile QB resulted in Willie's horrendous seasons.

Defense and mobile QB is our identity. Leavitt figured it out and we should keep with it.

Kenyatta Jones drafted by Patriots in the 4th round is the only OL that I can think of off the top of my head. 2001

I would say that offensive line might be the hardest position to recruit. There are only so many big, tall, quick, smart guys out there. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that using speed is the alternative. Leavitt knew that. Taggart learned it the hard way.

Not for nothing, but, generally, NFL ready OL are not regularly coming from the state of florida... Pounceys being the exception that I can think of... I just did a quick scan, not one OL drafted this year from any Florida school (quick scan, could have missed something)... with the spread-option offenses and speed being more important than "beef" in most cases, it's not a position that is made NFL-ready down here. Just because USF doesn't have a huge, solid OL doesn't mean that everyone running our style of offense is running away from us in that regard. It's the main reason that CWTs Stanford offense didn't work here, and, CCS will have a hard time going with a power run scheme... I believe that CCS will adjust though, he was on that UF staff that did pretty OK at one point, and, has always been a Florida recruiter. He knows what kind of players he's going to be able to get. Sterlin will have to adjust.
