Ace on ace has not been our friend. I don't think we really have a true ace. Not someone I trust to go out there and duel another teams best. I know its not a popluar opinion but...

I'm with you on that one. Shane has all the makings of an ace and if you glance at his numbers he looks like an ace. But their guy against our guy hasn't worked out well for us this season. Might be bad luck, but when something happens enough times, it's not luck anymore.

#1 v. #1 we're 1-4 this year in conference.

It's not luck.  It's a 20 year old kid with crazy good stuff, but doesn't always know how to harness it.  Mix in some mental breakdowns and you get good outings, but not good enough against the other team's best guy.

What does the offensive numbers look like when he is pitching. Other than one outing I can think of when he got shelled he has had poor offensive support. When you get beat 1-0 that does not fall on the pitchers shoulders
