Amazing!

Marketing for USF has been horrible for EVER, they hire a guy with an idea for improvement, and some of the same people whining about marketing are whining about it?

The University of South Florida is just fine for me. We are the Bulls and never ever change that for someone else's perception.  If they don't like it then  just don't.

EXACTLY, blow up the mother tuckin name and start over. Its a confusing name, should have been done a long time ago. How about Tampa Bay State University and be done with it. Tampa Bay needs to be branded to differentiate it. Unless one of the 7 local Billionaires wants to put their name on it.

In our quarterly meeting for IT 2 weeks ago this was discussed. Joe Hice was horrified at the number of different logos and images the university has and wants it extremely streamlined.

Other names that make sense would be Brooke University (original name of Tampa was Fort Brooke), Calusa U, Gaspar U, or Plant U...

I think, and hope this is more about the variety of logos used by the University (not  Athletics) than about renaming the school.

Good thinking.  If we can get $4-500 for naming rights to the Sun Dome, think of the thousands we could get doing a full sellout and not just yield to silly pressure, but actually let TBO rename the school.
