It's every team's desire to reach the top of the sport, of course. The difficulty with the CFP (or BCS for that matter) is simply that even the strong, proven teams like UCF are not invited to compete for the top--that's a major problem. Until they can address that, the "national champion" should just have an asterisk--it means something, but doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.

Yep some people think it should involve the top teams and some people think it should involve UCF.

Well, THIS year it was UCF. You won't find me on their campaign trail or hoisting their self-proclaimed NC banner (ugh), but I do think an undefeated team that had some solid wins and reasonable SoS deserves to be a "top" team and get a shot--even if it's a wildcard-type game.

I kinda feel for them, but it's the school's way of handling things. The team deserved a heroes' welcome home from the school (and maybe the city), but the NC stuff just makes them look like UCiF wannabes again. I agree with you.
