Plenty of playmakers and depth to have a successful season. I really don't see a huge drop off which is the sign of the health of the program

HAll is gone. Khalid Mcgee will start over Nico. Think Nico is too slow in a 4-2-5 alignment

You're right, I meant Mayes.

McGee will absolutely get time in sub packages, but I don't see Sawtelle being beaten out in our base 3-3-5 set. McGee should go back to safety for base and slide into the box in dime with Naytron at safety

Reading between the lines, Chris seems to be about as accurate but a lot more mobile. I think there's a chance it was really 2A and 2B behind Q this season and that Kean was the default "2" to keep him from transferring out if he saw the writing on the wall too obviously.

That said, there's a whole off-season of competition to be had. I don't expect anyone to be declared starter until close to fall. We shouldn't write off Kean. Having skilled players like O and K is an "OK" problem to have.

IDK if this was brought up in the thread yet, but Kean will be a RS Jr next year...so he might as well stay the whole season and be a grad transfer QB if he doesn’t win the job. Unless of course...he graduates this spring or summer...then he can leave earlier.

I haven't seen anyone list Watts. Dude was a quite heralded recruit and doing well before an injury this past off-season. Has someone heard something I haven't? Or, are people just forgetting about him?

After taking a red shirt last year, he played in 11 games this year, mostly on special teams.

Watts Nick Roberts and Duran Bell could move onto the 2 deep easily.  Lets get through spring and the picture will be clearer.  LB choice for MLB will be interesting as Danny Thomas left the program but have a lot of unproven talent out there to choose from still.  Sawtelle I dont think is going to leave first team, both sets of coaches has played him a lot so he must be doing the right things.

I think he was buried on depth chart behind Kegler and Pickney. Not sure his status going into spring practice.

He buried on the depth chart and I wouldn't be surprised to see him transfer out this spring....

There might be a few more coming now that they see where they stand with Strong and the new coaching staff.. Pure speculation but would be surprised if it didn't happen
