Isn't he the same guy that was the OC with Strong at Texas?  Here's the easy part of it.  Strong is a defensive minded guy who has no idea how to run a football team.  He is old school loyal which is to say that his way and the people who are consistent with his way will garner favor despite poor results.  They will rationalize why its an execution issue and not their system and if they are given a few years to recruit to their system then everything will be fine.  All while college football passes them by.  Just my perdition,  soon we are talking about buying about CCS contract because of the massive step back we'll take

This is StrongBall.  Running game with a strong defense and win it in the 4th quarter.  Might work in the NFL but in today's college football - too little margin for error.

With this philosophy, we are in for dog fights the rest of the way.  Starting with UConn.

Agree 100% I was hoping we’d get an offensive minded coach...but we got CCS, who’s imo one of the most boring coaches out there.
