Guess now we don't have to worry about him bolting for a P5 program

That sort of scares me...he pulls a Texas on us also.  I almost prefer he leave tell you the truth.

I prefer a young up and coming type offensive coach.

Low $ name brand?

This is exactly why he was hired. Plus he’s boring...so no chance of a scandal or anything.

I agree, he coaches like an 85 year old man. Florida high schools have players with speed...why bring in a guy that wants to power run? Spread the field and sling he rock. Let the players play.

They are pretty similar. Nice guys, no drama, and boring.

Gilbert is so much dumber than CWT without Marlon Mack in the backfield.  Funny how that works.

Wait if I recall correctly didn't we hate CWT play calling?

When we last had the ball on third down and long and we ran the ball up the middle I knew we lost the game deep down.

That was such a gutless call to make.

Yeah, Strong was terrible at Louisville.  Or, he was great there but somehow got dumber once he left.

If the world is as simple as you suggest then:

Than yes it is possible that when CCS found himself in Texas he found himself in over his head dealing with a level of expectation and competition he wasn't used to (or equipped for,  a.k.a. peter principal) as a head coach.  This may have been too much for his competencies as a manager and thus, relatively speaking,  yes he got dumber at Texas.

When they tied us up at 21 I said in the chat room we had lost the game. I had confidence they could score 7 but was dubious we could.
