Sorry but I disagree

I think he coaches planned well and executed s well as they could of and it worked.

Now the heat is off Strong being mentioned or coaching availability.  Meanwhile Frost gets the Nebraska job.  Without that level of coaching competition next year, Strong breaks through and shows he's the coaching king of the AAC and reins supreme for years... until Flori-duh comes calling again.  All according to plan.

See... perfect execution!

Being realistic and seeing the personnel that is on this roster, they should have won today but these players, especially flowers do not fit the system. He is extremely limited as a QB which is completely handcuffing the offense. The O line is a year away from really knowing how to block for this system and having the attitude. There really aren’t any game breakers on this roster. I’m sorry

This is loss is equally to blame between both staff and players.

If you try to make me a salesman, or a pimp, or a professional musician I am going to fail spectacularly. It wouldn't be on my execution either it would be because I'm a great Sr. System Administrator and you're trying to force me to do something I don't have and could never have the skill set for.

In all seriousness During the last FG I honestly thought we were going to lose... so much so that I stopped watching

It had to do with time management.  For those talking about leaving time on the clock, I am 100% in agreement.

Even the TV announcers were stunned.  The color analyst mentioned at the time that now what USF had to do was snap the ball with under 3 seconds in the play clock.  Otherwise he (the analyst) would be stunned.

They snapped the ball with about 23 seconds left in the clock, and the announcer said "Well I'm surprised."

Then they did the same on 4th down.

Thats 40 or so seconds they could have taken off the clock

That would have left Houston with about 1 minute, rather than 1 min 46 seconds on their last drive.  A HUGE difference.

Exactly!!!! Let QF play an offensive game plan like last year and we would have won by 20 plus.

On top of that, going to a full prevent D.  No longer pressuring the QB which had been working well all game

Poor coaching on many levels. If you know you’re going for the field goal you milk the clock to 1 maybe 2 seconds. This loss is on the coaches.

That style of play will never work at USF look at CWT and how he struggled with that horrible offense that was lucky to score 17 and that was with Mack.  Florida doesn't have the O linemen to run it.

Preach.  I have to put this one on the game decision making.  Execution we used to hear all the time until Willie simplified things and just played to the strengths.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
