Not all 50%s are the same.  $5 dollars more for a football ticket is not the same as say paying the difference between a $50 ticket and a $75 ticket.

it is if you have very little disposable income or if you are a casual fan. there is one cheapskate on here (floridafan or something) who claims to be a hardcore fan and he won't spend more than $10.

you don't need marketing research. just look at a supply and demand slope

The higher the price of a good the lower the quantity demanded (A), and the lower the price, the more the good will be in demand (C).

You keep telling me that I need to learn about economics but you fail to grasp there's a point where the increase in demand does not make up for the loss in revenue for the lower price.

what are you talking about? I'm not going to argue this with you again. you don't have to lower the price of anything but the empty seats. you just sell the empty seats for cheaper. =more revenue.

the people who have season tickets aren't going to stop buying them because the empty seats are cheaper. most donors can already sit in cheaper seats. they don't.

some people aren't price conscious( I would argue all of our season ticket holders aren't price conscious because they could buy cheaper tickets if they just scalped). some people will pay to sit in first class.

casual fans and probably some hardcore fans who don't have the disposable income are price conscious. the only way you attract them is if you sell the tickets cheaper.

USF needs a Town Hall Meeting and invite all of us ... but then they will serve Kool-Aid beforehand.

If someone won't spend $15 to go to our game, I don't see them spending $10

Maybe but take into account fees and parking and concessions....$10 looks a lot better than $15

You know, if we got parking and/or concessions, the economics changes.  Getting more people at a lower price may not be better financially.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
