The American Conference Expanding and becoming an actual P6 conference.

Our conference sucks, our schedule sucks, our home games suck, our attendance sucks... and suddenly calling them/us P6 changes what?

I know more money, but that doesn't make better football.

I think he means if the conference grows into a P6 conference. Meaning USF wins the National Championship this year followed up by Houston winning it next year. Never would happen but just a hypothetical

Exactly my point. All you read on here is how bad the AAC sucks. Calling it a P6 changes absolutely nothing other than MAYBE television money. And we've all seen what ESPN will do to stop that.

USF Joining an Established Conference, even with the American becoming a P6.

 

Everyone knows the P6 branding is just about trying to get more TV money right?  I know this is a hypothetical, but to be completely clear, there is absolutely zero chance the P5 will let another conference in just because (insert any logical reason here).  It threatens their playoff spots and reduces decision making power.

If we want to establish or get back to drawing 45k+ to home games, then a move to a true P5 is the only way to go.  The AAC plays better quality football then they are given credit for, but lacks "name" recognition.  A home slate of Cincy/Tulane/UCF/ECU is never ever ever ever going to draw as well as Texas/Kansas St/TCU/WVU  or NC St/FSU/Duke/Va Tech.
