I bet they get more fans in Harrisonburg than we would in Tampa...

Not a chance. First off it needs to be a Sat game. Second Ala vs Auburn is setting up nicely (but don't discount UGA vs. GT). Third, we are G5.

Agreed, but regarding your last point, I believe the Game Day crew was once at North Dakota State in recent years, and at FAMU on another occasion. Not out of the realm of possibility that they could feature a G5 matchup.

They have actually been to ND twice. But it was primarily to show some 1aa love and to tap into the quirky aspect of being in North Dakota.

They usually do once or twice a season at a non-BCS/non-P5 school including FCS teams.  They're recently been at Army-Navy, only game of the weekend.

2016 - Western Michigan

2015 - Temple, James Madison

2014 - Harvard, ND State

2013 - ND State

2012 - Navy/Troy in San Diego

2011 - None

2010 - Boise

2009 - Air Force, BYU, TCU

2008 - None

2007 - Williams

2006 - None

2005 - Utah

2004- None

2003 - Bowling Green, Army (vs. USF - cancelled after 45 minutes due to lightning and Rocky head lost until halftime)

I've got way too much time on my hands the next couple weeks!  GO BULLS!

I thought there was a rule they go by that gameday goes to either a g5 or d2 game once a year. I could be wrong on that though

Since it's ESPN and it's ESPN, "rule" (if it actually is), I'm pretty sure they can change that if they want.

If true, what better (potentially) G5 match-up is there than an undefeated USF against an undefeated UCF? Not many G5 match-ups that get a ton of attention. That's our best chance in the foreseeable future for us to be featured on Gameday, but I believe NewEnglandBull is correct. Alabama-Auburn is the obvious choice that weekend.

They usually do the G5 or D2 match in the middle of the season when no big matches occur. I already know gameday won't be there for black friday but I thought they usually gamely at a G5 or D2 school about the middle of the season when there aren't any interesting matchups.
