It's probably over inflated because MD was considered a quality win on all accounts and FIU is turning out to be not that bad, they seem to be the best team in their conference.  It comes down to SOS at this early stage.

Any team that beats Texas or beats a team that beat Texas should be ranked no 1. That is how this all shakes out most of the time.

Totally made up.  At the time UCF had played 1 game now they are two into their season.

Well after playing two games UCF now has 70% odds to win.

Even more BS.  Thanks Gismo.  Now to add insult I am going to go look at the UCF board and see they in all of their cry baby glory.

What does it really matter. Perception before a game is played is meaningless unless you are betting on the game. Perhaps a bigger worry is SDSU. I hope I am wrong but I am starting feel they could run the table too.

43% seems about right. Let's say for argument sake we really are the 18th or so best team in college football right now and UCF is around 35 based on the AP poll. ESPN might have us more like 23 and UCF 27. Not unreasonable at this point. That's not much of a difference. One could easily say we're almost  equal teams in the big picture. Debatable, sure. But not completely out of the question. Math nerds have calculated out that the home team wins around 57% of the time in NFL games (not sure what the college game is, but assume they're roughly equal) and that means two equal teams playing a game will shake out to a 57% chance of the home team winning and 43% chance the visitors win. I'd be willing to bet that's where they got the number from on ESPN.

No question, the UCF game scares me most out of our remaining games. Houston next.

Crambone, go over to the UCF board and see how much they think of themselves now.

When discussing this year's USF team, and offense in particular, we should be aware that CCS is trying to keep  Flowers as healthy as is possible. We have a long season and he is the team MVP.

So, I expect that we will win games keeping that in mind and it won't always be all it could be.

BUT, by the time we play UCF, Flowers will be fully released to do his thing and UCF will LOSE.
