For the San Jose State game the new field turf was obviously a hindrance on our team speed. The excess chopped up tire bits were a little ridiculous. For the Stony Brook game, it rained prior and maybe even during the game in the beginning. Does anyone recall if our players were slipping? My point is that I really hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. I feel like we need a nice dry field and really get our team speed back on point. If we do not get off to a fast start, the confidence on the offensive side of the ball will continue to drop. I was thinking that having a week to rest may have been good for the fact that a lot of players were complaining that the summer camp was the most intense and brutal camp. Could that have been why they seemed to be moving slow early? Maybe a week of rest helps. Just wondering if it could have been a factor?

I recall a few times where Q and DJ slip and they were visibly frustrated. I do not recall if that happened during Stony Brook. I'm sure the week helps, however, I don't think it was a factor in this case. Most of the slipping I recall was early in the game.
