And WR drops

True.  But due to the outcome, that's a little lower on my list of grievances.

It's so funny.  Last year when USF was throwing late in the 4th against ECU, so many (not saying you were one of them, GBS) were saying that it was low class of CWT to be throwing our 1st team against them with the game in hand.

Now, we have the game more in hand, and people are ******** that we need to score more when the game is even less in doubt.

I love TBP and our fanbase so much.

I was actually one of the guys saying Willie doing that was one of the few things I liked about him. I do remember a lot of the people griping though.

Why not?  If we keep winning, we'll still be the highest ranked G5 team and still get a NY6 bowl.  We never had any real shot to make it to the CFP, so why would CCS have to be an ass and run up the score?  There is no benefit to it.

Sorry, man, I love ya, but statements like this are gutless too.

Aim high. Never give up as long as the shot is still there.

You do realize that not everyone agrees with you on this point, right?  There are some, particularly one of the more active ones on this thread, that still think we are, or were, in play for the CFP.

You can aim as high as you want. Realistically though you have to understand our schedule is ****. We stood no chance to make the cfp. Period. The end.

All hope is not yet lost, although the light at the end of that tunnel dims with every conservative play call.

As long as we continue winning, we still have a small chance.

The chance grows with dominant play, and shrinks with conservative play

Only after our first loss, will I give up all hope.

Had we DOMINATED against SJSU, SB, and IU, we'd be Top 12-15 for next week. Instead, we'll be luck to just get back to where we started the season. This is why even victories are deflating.

Right. It's also not so much about making the CFP but about making the case we belong and getting the inequities in the rigged system out in the open. The only way to do that is to destroy the competition. You win out and be the best G5 team you get to be Western Michigan from last year? Hear much talk about them being a national program? Aim high or you'll only get the Boise State pat on the head, i.e. "Great for a G5 team." I like to think we can try for just plain "Great." Especially in this one year when everything lines up for us.

Like I said, different goals and perspectives.

Why make a patently untrue statement?

You. Are. Wrong.

A small chance is NOT the same as zero chance.

47-23 is a good number, should get us back around #19, but I still don't feel very confident.

It's like they have no fire - they're winning on talent alone, but the discipline and enthusiasm are missing.

We have to clean this up for conference play

We have never had more offensive yardage against an FBS opponent...it was a team record!  Maybe your bar's a wee bit high?
