So the people must know they want to rush a while before hand then. 

 

I didnt join Greek but I remember my first week as a freshman being hounded constantly by frats to rush. That wouldn't happen if rush was a week earlier.

I'm not sure what the rushing policy is for UCF, but their coach took a picture of himself with many sorority ladies supporting their first home game. UCF football then smartly sent that picture out to recruits, to show what they could be missing.

At FSU there are 17 sororities x 100 spots (not all have 100 openings) = 1700 spots max.  Over 2000 started so yes, some do get left out.  The more common occurrence though is girls voluntary dropping out during the week when the sororities they really wanted to be in cut them.  I think if you stick the entire week out you end up with a spot somewhere although it may not be one you initially wanted.  The entire process was quite eye opening to me.

Hopefully that's not true, as it is a sure sign of a poor manager/administrator.  High turnover is one indicator of this, though.
