Is USF overcharging for Season tickets and costing themselves butts in the seats?

Angering current ticket holders, financial impact, etc. etc. is an entirely different argument. If the question is as simple as the title of the thread, then answer has to be yes. As long as there are unsold season tickets, the price is too high for the market. I have my house up for sale right now. Doesn't matter how much I "think" it's worth, the market will tell me what people are willing to pay for it.

I agree completely ........ but it's not that simple.

Here is a great article from Mark Cuban talking about the experience at the events trumps even the product being watched. Food for thought...

"but you have to understand what makes going to an nba game unique. it’s the energy. it’s the participation , it’s being the 6th man and supporting your team. its high fiving or hugging the person. next to you that you dont know, because your team just hit a big shot . Most importantly it’s the look on the face of your child , or your date and the everlasting  memories that are created from games. Doesn’t everyone remember their first game with a parent ?"

I stopped going to Phoenix Suns games because it was sensory overload.  Bright lights, noise and tits & ass.  I just wanted to see a game.  The T&A was ok, but the feeling they had to entertain the crowd constantly killed the ability to get my son's attention for more than three seconds.

Unfortunately everything is going in that direction.  Even USF baseball games are so f'n loud with music blaring between innings, when coaches go to the mound and any other slight delay.  Baseball, of all the sports, doesn't need to be that way.

Edit: I know I'm showing my age but it is what it is at this point.
