Rankings and national seeding are done by two different groups. Just like being ranked in the top 4 in the NCAA basketball tourney doesn't mean you're sure to be a #1 seed.

As a lightly regarded conference, I think we need the trifecta of regular season champs, conference tourney champs, and an RPI in the top 20 to have a chance at hosting.
