I asked some people on campus about Mack. They wouldn't give me a direct answer but just smiled as if they knew there was good news coming.

I think if any scout tells Mack that he is a 3rd round lock he is gone. Too easy to go and get that money. He reminds me of a larger change of pace back like Sproles, Giovani Bernard, or Chris Sims. If he's projected anything later than the 4th round he should come back. It would be tough to go early and get no guaranteed money.

but with RBs the late round grade might not matter as much as other positions. GMs are devaluing the position and there have been recent drafts where they didn't take 1 RB the entire first round, so even a 5th round grade it might be worth to go now and work on that next contract if he ends up good enough.

The Degree argument is that he can always come back and finish it later. Bortles still has about a semester of credits left, if he doesn't improve and is out of the league in a year or 2 I don't think he'll regret the millions made off his rookie signing bonus deal

They weren't the same ones asked about the B12 invite, were they?

Ah, sorry. Didn't mean to mess up the subtle innuendo ...

I'd love for him to stay, but if he gets a 4th/5th round grade, then he should go. Even if he has a good senior year, I don't see him going in the 2nd/3rd round. The injury risk is real too.

Ezekiel might be changing that perception this year. All 3 top RBs might go 1st Round because of him..

I love Mack, but if he leaves, we will be ok. We have 4 hungry good running backs and a quarterback that rushed for 1000 yards. I really like Tyler Pippens.

D'Ernest Johnson RB 208 Jr.
Elijah Mack RB 205 Fr.
Tyler Pippens RB 160 RFr.
Trevon Sands RB 201 Fr.
