I am not in favor of hiring a coach I have to Google in order to learn something about.

So because you're ignorant about up and coming coaches USF should be?  Fantastic!

That's correct. I would prefer us to hire someone with head coaching experience at some level, not a coordinator. I don't want to piss away next year on growing pains for a guy learning how to be a head coach.

With his Florida family connections and apparently a positive growing resume, he along with any candidates who are promising deserves consideration.   Someone had to give Bear Bryant an opportunity!
