Yeah but there's no guarantee that redshirting that year would have helped his development. Maybe he needed those few games at real speed to see what he had to do and also allowed the coaches to see how he reacted to adversity. Maybe he would have, maybe he wouldn't. But boy am I excited to have him for one more year. Let's win 4 more this year worry about next year later.

Still remember at some point during his freshmen year when the anti-CWTers were out in full force, a big deal was made about a comment he made before the season, not sure where. He was asked about if the starter would be SB or MW and he said something to the effect of "don't count out QF". To them this of course meant he hated the other two, especially one of them, when reality was, he knew. Putting him in in those odd places in games and then starting SMU, I think he may have pushed a little too hard but I think most now see why he wanted him to start contributing ...
