The problem with your comparison, is that most of the people that go to the FSU or UF games don't live in their respective cities. they actually spend hours traveling to there, which actually makes our situation worse.

Double down on that Apis, they're driving FROM TAMPA!!!

Yeah somewhat those teams helped but it's not like those were huge names like Ohio state, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia....

Yeah, but still better than most of what we play now.

I hope to get up there next time we play at Annapolis ...

I'd really recommend it. I loved the area, history, and their fans were great. I plan on going back again next year. Oh yeah and the weather was amazing for football

(If you're talking about going there for a USF/Navy game...) I don't think we play them next year.  They are in the West division.  We already have the home/away series with them.

I believe next year begins our series with Houston, Tulsa, and Tulane as our cross division match-ups for the next 2 years.

to add insult to injury, Ill tell you our experience with the students.  We have had season tickets from the beginning, We were located in the corner where the visitors come out, by the tunnel. The school decided to expand the student section requiring us all to move to another section which we did (not by choice). We moved over one section. The first year after the move attendance was up and students kept trying to come into our NEW section and sit In our seats most games, they became rude, disorderly, and highly intoxicated which made the games too unenjoyable so we decided to move to the other end of the stadium where the Bulls come out the following season and have been there since.  We miss sitting closer to the band though.

Point that makes us a little peeved is that we moved not by choice in order to expand the student section only to watch it sit empty game after game, year after year. Kinda pisses one off. Students have NO EXCUSE not to support their fellow students , classmates and friends.

BTW agree its the Alumni and Students that need to start showing up, than the casual Tampa fan will join. BTW Im not a Student, never attended USF but have and continue to be a donor, season ticket holder in Football, Basketball currently (dropped softball)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
