Nothing for Ciabatti?  He was always talked about as one of the top punters in the nation. I thought he would get at least a mini camp tryout.

I would think punters aren't the primary area of concern just now for teams.  Probably a few weeks and he'll get a look somewhere.

Love that Bench is getting getting the chance to become a QB in the NFL. A league that employs 100 or so total players at arguably the single most important position in sports and we still have people here who can't even begrudgingly acknowledge the kid has talent.

Couldn't resist ...

Stephen Holder, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have invited undrafted free-agent QB Pat Julmiste (South Florida) to participate in the Buccaneers' minicamp as a tryout player.

Kidding aside, I think if the offense had been built more for him when he first got here it would have worked out better for him here ...

Absolutely. It's just comical that our QB situation is so binary. There's QF and then there's a mass of barely functional players who should never have been allowed on the field with him.

That's usually the case, on some level, of any program coming from where ours was when CWT took over.

I think the QF overboard lovefest is usually triggered when some try to downplay what he accomplished last year ..... making it sound like we won in spite of him.

Well, you know...that's QF's fault for throwing those little shovel passes for 95% of his yardage and TDs. Those don't even count as passing stats.

He took over for the second winningest coach in USF history. We were hardly in bad shape.

No, you mean the second losingest coach in USF history.  Worst record in USF history among former coaches.  We were in horrible shape.

Second most bowl wins, though.
