My relationship with some of the great people there like Vicki and Eric, led me to do as much as I could above and beyond making a donation. I must admit, it's my alma mater but I do a lot less now. I am significantly less engaged than I was before. I wouldn't have thought about it with Eric and Vicki. You felt you were part of something other than a cash machine...but that was the early days. If it's just about dropping a few grand because it's the alma mater, they'll be people that do that. But there will people willing to do much more if they feel they're not just another number. Brad speaks the truth.

Those with no interest in sports aren't who I'm referring to .... although, heck, that may be our bottom line problem. USF begat too many with no athletics interest to begin with. So we should do away with college sports and facilities unless they can be self sufficient?

A university should play sports at a level it can afford. USF is in over it's head right now. Yawn....

Students don't have to pay it. They can go somewhere that doesn't have it. All part of making a decision on where to attend college.

USF Athletics can only ask the students to raise or lower the Athletic fees. Students decide on if the fees are appropriate or not. This is mostly a non story. Except that at some point USF will either have to move up or move down. Be a big boy or adjust spending level down to an appropriate level. We may have 5 years to move up, otherwise our current spending is not sustainable. (obviously, we want to be a big boy, but we need the invite to the party)
