He had it fixed later on in the game. Go to the 1:27:30 mark of your linked game where he de-helmeted Pender.

It was an issue early on in the year  but yeah that was a monster hit.  I really don't like how there were quite a few calls that went FSU's way. I think this year is going to be a lot different.

They were very "targeting" happy in that game. Also one non-whistle that was weird was the same dehelmeting hit on Pender; refs should have immediately blew the whistle for safety but they didn't. I remember being at a bar and an FSU fan said "wow! And USF is still trying to tackle him! No class!" When in reality they were trying to hold him up, Pender kept moving; that was the refs fault. Targeting on Auggie was crap, especially when they didn't call a worse hit that Nate Andrews put on Elkanah Dillon as the game expired. IMO both hits were legal and it's dumb to call targeting as a game is expiring, but it's the principle of thing.
