College Game Day is headed to Temple Saturday....

 

AAC will be front stage 

the only problem is that everyone (ESPN) views this conference as temporary. I wish the big 12 would just fold and Texas would choke on their network. That way the AAC could just replace them already.

Aresco's decision to take less money for more expsoure worked   we're the only G5 conference on TV basically.

The biggest problem for Memphis is that they play Temple in the regular season, so they likely won't get a bump from the AAC Championship game.  It would be nice if we win out and get a re-match again

This is shaping up to be pretty interesting.. Say Memphis wins out, Houston only loses against Memphis, Temple wins against ND and their only losses come to Memphis twice that would give Memphis 4 quality wins, Ole Miss, Temple 2x, and Houston. I'd say that's comparable to most of the title contenders outside of the inflated SEC ranking bs.

They would also have a W over Navy, who could end up with just 3 losses.

The AAC is really not looking that bad.  I have said it before, if this conference could even get close to P5 money, it would be the best place for us to be.

where does the money come from? Can fedex just front the whole conference the money or does that only work for Memphis?

AAC should see a nice bump in TV money next time we come up for negotiations in the very near future (keep in mind that ESPN will have to be a player in the contract or they would most likely start the whole conference realignment crap all over again and kill us off for good by having the other conferences take a few of our schools).   Personally I wish we had another TV network,  Despise the EVIL EMIPIRE that is Disney ABC, ESPN.
