My friend, you are living in a world of serious delusion if you think Bo Pelini is going to leave Oklahoma to coach at USF.  If Al Goden gets fired, there is a very small chance we might possibly convince him to come to USF, but he will probably have better offers as well.

Edsall?  Schiano?  Those are going to be the best names on our list.  It's either one of them or a young coach from a smaller school or a coordinator somewhere.  Even Lane Kiffen is better off being Alabama's coordinator than being our head coach.

I don't think Bo ever coached at Oklahoma

He was fired from Nebraska though and there were some parting words that were entertaining

"Pelini was 67-27 in seven seasons and won nine or more games in each season." According to the article. He is off to a 3-1 start at Youngstown State.

After watching this dumpster fire, that is looking pretty good.

that's exactly the same as our first 2 years. our 3rd hasn't finished yet.

Steve Spurrier might be available after this season.  Perhaps he'd like to retire to the Tampa Bay area...

Spurrier would be a home run selection esp in this conference, city  and state.  He has strong ties to the Bay Area.

Golden, Spurrier, Edsell, SHIANO?  Are those are options on firing Tags?

This is a great thread for those of us who want to be patient with Taggart.

I listened to Spurrier speaking to David Feherty on the Golf Channel recently.  Said he was very happy at South Carolina, therefore I don't see him coming to USF so, mark him off the short list.

What coach doesn't say in an interview he is happy at their school?   With that said I don't think the choice would be Spurrier's to leave South Carolina. His winless record in the conference would most likely be his demise there.  He lost to UK, Mizzou , got blew out by UGA,   so far two wins this year(UCF which we know is a horrible win, and barley beat UNC). He finished last season  7-6 (bowl win) and 3-5 in the conference.   USC wont sit too long while the loses pile up.  .

Only if we can get Shiano as D coordinator, too (throws up violently).

can we make runs at Bo Pelini or Al Golden before we sink this low? Edsall? Schianno? Those are terrible names for a USF coach.

I would love to have Schianno as coach. What he did at Rutgers was unbelievable.
