Like the optimism but its gonna take a monumental effort for a sixth win.  I disagree that CWT could not win with Grothe or Daniels.  The biggest issue with this team is its a one dimension offense which is the result of the inability to complete a pass greater than 10 yards consistently.  That would not be the case with those two.

is this all Flowers on, or does some of Taggart's reticent also lay with our wrs? No one has been clutch (in coverage), and I am beginning to wonder if the tandem of unreliable wideouts and poor throwing ability are equating to don't throw. Our corners are always getting picks in practice, but not so much in games. Are our wrs push overs?

Situations in the game that don't fit a narrative are discarded. MD did the same thing, gave us 7 point in return for clock. This may have been worse given the 700+ yards Memphis gave up to Cinci.

We were really good and the better team for the first quarter. After that the scoreboard flattered us.

That's my point.  We were the better team for most of the game.  Taggart didn't make offensive adjustments, so we lost.  We may have lost anyway, sure...but are either of you saying if a competent playcaller was in there we didn't have a shot at winning?  If Kinnan gets in Willies head and that improves, we could win.   I think.

I'm usually optimistic but not seeing it.

Flowers isn't being given a chance to win and playcalling is terrible.  Took Johnson to call a scoring play in FSU game.

Any team can beat us just stack the box and dare us to pass. That seems all it takes.

Do you really think the touchdown we scored with less than 2 minutes left in the game was anything other than garbage time TD?

Of course it wasn't, we got the ball back with a minute left to tie the game.  Even if the Flowers long pick on first down doesn't happen, I don't think it was likely that we tie the game, but definitely not a garbage time TD because we had an opportunity to do so.

The only bowling I see the team doing any time soon is a group outing down at the local AMF lanes.

"Our team is definitely a bowling team this year"

To make the OP more accurate, I suggest sliding the "L" in Bowling 2 spaces to the left

We aren't going to a bowl game. Taggart is too stubborn with his offensive mindset. He trolled all of us by running his offense out of the shotgun.
