from today's AAC teleconference irked the hell out of me.

Taggs never takes responsbility for anything. He talked about the players not knowing how to win, being immature, not running plays with confidence and fundamentals that went "out the window" How about your fundamentals, coach?

All of this may be true but he should nut up and take responsibility. I'm sure the players don't appreciate being thrown under the bus (sorry for the pun) all the time.

When Spurrier got beat, he would always say we just got out coached.

His schtick is wearing thin with the fans and probably the players too.

I was equally upset that he put it all on the players not knowing how to win.  Good teams make mistakes and still win. They do not rely on perfect games to win.

You make a good point.  I am not sure I have ever heard Tags say that he got out coached, or did anything wrong.  It has always been his guys not performing, not having talent (bare cupboard crap).  He needs to man up.

Don't worry, as soon as he gets his own players in this won't be an issue anymore.

I have been assured by others on this board that Taggart always takes all the blame himself, and never points fingers at others.

Rowe threw 3 picks and a basket of other bad passes and still destroyed us. The rest of MD did their best with penalties to try to throw the game away but they still won. Drops happen, interceptions happen, penalties happen. Somehow MD overcame theirs and USF didn't.

Are you possibly suggesting that running the same 3 plays over and over again might not be a game plan for success?

By saying you got out coached, it takes the pressure off the players and puts it on him and his staff. A good coach(leader) praises the players when they do well and takes the heat when they don't.

The players aren't dumb they know what's going on.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
