He should have said "We couldn't afford another 8 minute drive to score, Bench gave us a higher risk higher reward opportunity to catch up in the limited time".

However I applaud a man who keeps his word.

I agree. Don't make promises that you might not be able to keep. Nobody knows what will happen in the game.

Pulling Flowers when he did made me absolutely furious at CWT.  It was a game changer and we were only down 11 with the whole 4th quarter.

That's almost an unfathomable promise to make as a had coach!! How can you pinpoint a series of a game BEFORE IT'S STARTED and promise the back up quarterback a few plays?? How can you follow through with it when the game is going like it is??? This happened in the NC state game last year.. I couldn't believe it then and I can't believe it now.
