The one or two 'good' passes per game does not translate to a legit passing threat.  From our playcalling its obvious even the coaches don't believe QF can be a passing quarterback.

When the opposing team is 'not worried' about our passing game, and the announcers gush about how we're playing a running back at quarterback...

Then we have problems.

Everyone is jumping on QF, but had ADams caught that TD that he dropped on a good pass by QF and the defense plays better than letting the WR get behind them with a minute to go in half. We could had been up 17-14 at half.

The defense did not play a good game and the WRs did not help either QB in catching balls that should had been caught.

Overall this is a TEAM loss no one had a good game

Agreed

Agree it was a team loss. In my book the game was over when we decided to make a high, short kickoff after the field goal. Even if we didn't give up the long pass to set up the TD before the half it was one of the many idiotic things the coaching staff did today. Why kick high and short to the best return guy in the country. I guess it better to have him get a running start at the 15 than from the end zone. Even if their other return guy gets it short and runs 20 yards, they have the best PK in the country. So we conceded at least 3 points before halftime (turned out to be 7) with Maryland getting second half kick. Just freaking squib the ball or line drive it deep.

That alone tells you all you need to know about Taggart's coaching ability.

QB play is the symptom of a greater disease

The offensive struggles have a lot to do with QF's inability to be even a serviceable QB.  Because he can't pass consistently well, teams key on our running game.  Because of this, we can't get consistent long drives, which tires our defense (and allows the opponents offense to dictate scheme).

There is certainly enough blame to go around, but IMO the majority of it falls on the QB play.

60 yrds passing pls anyone who tries to defend QF as a QB is ridiculous...

He did not lose this game alone though...this an entire team loss...

Yes but now I am not sure we can win a game with this formula.  We have two OCs and an offensive analyst.  Let's go back to the drawing board!

Plus as was repeatedly shown on TV today, we have THE WORST 3rd down conversion percentage in FBS. That means your QB sucks and can't throw the ball.

That dropped pass for a td Adams was a game killer because we only get that type of play once a game. A normal team it hurts but they have more chances to hit a pass for a td.

This offense is so pathetic it has to be nearly perfect for us to have a chance. No dropped passes, no stupid penalties can happen or we will lose 95% of the games.

CWT has always been conservative, but it's to a major fault.  He has to take the reins off QF and actually trust the game in his hands.
