I'd like to know what a conference championship in football feels like.

What I meant to say is you could beat FSU and make the champ game....it's not a question of beating FSU and sputtering out with 10 straight losses.

Ohhhhh....so what you're saying is, "if Jesus would miracle the team to be good enough to upset FSU and not auger into the mediocrity - as has been our long held and revered tradition - but also win the conference championship?" Yes. Indeed that would be nice. Much in the same way winning the lottery without having bought a ticket would be nice. How-ev-ah...in all honesty, since we're not at seated at the big people's table, the FSU win, I believe, would be of very little value. A one year upset, I think, doesn't buy you much. Well...'cept for here on the board, but otherwise... :FIREdevil:

In the AAC it feels like the Bahamas bowl.

FSU victory is actually better for USF in my opinion. Better for recruiting and marketing.

If we beat FSU we get say we are the big 4, others may fear us again, media will be all over it, newspaper heads lines, every Florida HS football student will take us more seriously. Winning the AAC championship is like when everyone gets a trophy for being on a youth baseball team.

A good year 1-2 losses at most may mean New Years game against an excellent ooc opponent

Winning a conference championship.

Not even close.

Beat FSU and all we hear is that FSU was over-rated and rebuilding post-Winston.

Win conference and it shows that the program has finally put together that elusive first full season.

We beat FSU and all the talk will be about fsu underperforming. Win the conference and it will be about our improved defense and new offense making a statement.

Easy question we've done the former never done the latter, win the AAC.
