More curious about the offense or defense?

I am more curious about the defense. Our best teams had decent offenses but really got after it defensively. If we play top 40 defense we'll be bowling.

What do I want to see on Saturday?

Gang tackling, flying to the football. Hard hitting and passion in getting after the other team.

What do I not want to see? Lack of pass rush and sitting back and waiting for the other team.

I am sure I am not alone in wanting this.

Defense for sure....im iffy about the dline and depth at linebacker...really like our secondary...on offense big question mark for me is o-line and of course qb

I believe our defense will be greatly improved over last year. Coach Allen seems like a can do guy to me.

Offense. I want to see if we're going to walk the walk or all this coach speak about changing things up is going out the window when the whistle blows.

I really wanted to like our defense, but losing Calloway was huge. Now we lose Harris and probably our best backup at any position besides secondary depth and RB in Whitehurst for 2 games? Arguably 2 of the defense's best 4 are out with that! (Harris, Byrd, Senat, Calloway in that order I would say). Then obviously our offense is always a mystery. I am optimistic about this year, just as we all are when USF is 0-0, but very nervously optimistic.

I'll say offense in game 1 and defense in game 2. I think athletically alone the defense shouldn't be tested too badly against FAMU. Offensively I'll be interested to see if they can actually put up points and yards.

The defensive test comes in Tallahassee.

Offense, because defense while not amazing the last 2 years they have been for the most part able to keep us in games but if the offense keeps putting defense on the field they won't be able to hold up all game.

When this offense can chew up the clock regularly it will make the defense even better.

Offense for me. The hype has me partially energized that we might score points, but as JTrue said, what happens when the whistle blows is what I'm waiting for. I hope the hype is at least 75% correct.
