He earned that extension, any AD in the country would have rewarded Stan with an extension after that 2012 NCAAT run.

A lot of times now there is an offset. We will guarantee that you will make X, but if you find another HC job where you make Y we will pay you the difference between X and Y.

We just cut Skip a blank, unearned check. At least Heath earned his blank check.

But, typically, not if such coach gets another head coaching gig elsewhere. Stan is an assistant at BC, so I think that's why we still pay the man. I'm not a sports agent, so I'm not privy to customary practices in these coaching contracts.
