Bryan Walters, Seattle’s primary punt returner in 2014, officially is an ex-Seahawk, signing Friday with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said in an interview on KJR-AM later in the afternoon that the team might not have to look too far for a replacement returner — B.J. Daniels.

Excited for BJ - hopefully he has a chance to be impact player this coming year!

Its where he belongs... he isn't QB material.

Skippy should had moved him to punt returns and made him a tight end.

He's racked up more than a mill playing QB. I think it's safe to say he was good enough to be a QB in college.

Air Bud racked up over $10 million, and featured a dog catching a football...

Just because you make money at something doesn't equal talent...

Two years pulling down an NFL paycheck and an endorsement from Pete Carroll does though....

I'll take that against a guy who thought Bobby Eveld was a better QB any day.....

BJ is a great athlete...

Who has 1 of the less than 100 rosters spots that get's paid to be a QB at the highest level of football on the planet.  Arguing that he isn't a good QB is just complete ignorance.  If he was as bad of a QB as you led on they would sign a better QB and move him to a different position, but they don't.  They are choosing to keep him in the organization over scores of other QB's.....

If they make him a QB then I'll eat crow... but based on what Carroll has said is that BJD will be a punt returner / special teams asset. Not a QB.

He's already been a QB for two seasons.... How do you take that crow?

Dozer bringing the knowledge.

Dozer, you think the message board is like osmosis? Eventually it'll seep in?

Remember this guy was very vocal about how Eveld was a better QB than BJ because Bobby was "A tall pocket passer".  He also thinks BJ would've made a great TE at 5'9" and 210lbs so you know you have to put a ton of stock into his talent evaluation.

I'm still high on BJ Daniels. We have not had a semblance of an offense since 11/3/2012.

inane comment aside, BJ's a gamer. I wouldn't call him perfect for any NFL position, but he could be dangerous in a few roles including QB.

Had BJ Daniels never gotten hurt(only 374 yards away) he'd likely be the Big East's all time leader in total yards over guys like Grothe, Pat White, and McNabb. To say he shouldn't have been a QB here is idiotic.

If he did that, he'd have been what, 3rd or 4trh instead of 2nd in Big East history for total yards? Injury being the only thing stopping him from being first.

Bubba has to be trolling everyone on the board at this point. I refuse to believe anyone can be this dumb.

Here we go again.  Had Grothe not gotten hurt and BJ play in his place that first year he wouldn't be close to Grothe.  Just sayin.
