Hopefully its the other guy Vega mentioned on the thread I started on today's commitment. Not sure about the 5th year guy..wonder who it could be and what spot.

Good work Mama! Gonna be a whole new squad next year basically.

The hope is that USF can land Outlaw who is considered the slightly better player between him and Smith. Either way Outlaw would fills a need at the SF spot where he would have to be the favorite to start, while Morillo can come off the bench as a 6th man type that provides offense among the reserves.

The other hope is that big man Johncarlos Reyes will come on board to. He's a Dominican and both Antigua's are recruiting him personally. Reyes suppose to be among the best available Bigs out there to sign at this point and would be a nice addition to the roster imo.

Also with head coaches being fired now, their committed players might be looking elsewhere to play. Just might be something to keep an eye on if the opportunity presents itself.

Do you think Smith is going to be the starter at the 2? Ziegler, Holston, and Morillo all off the bench is some nice depth.

Also what about down low? Are Perry and Guerrero expected to be starters or do we have some new guys coming in that could change that?

Going to be interesting to who the starter is at the SG. Have to think that Holston has a leg up on that heading into next season with the way he closed out his freshman campaign. If Smith is as good as some think then he is capable of winning the role. Either way I feel pretty good at that position right now. To me Morillo needs to come off the bench since he only thinks his own offense and nothing else. He is at times a good rebounder but a very poor defender and not really a high basketball IQ guy either.

If Perry is healthy it will be hard to find anybody left out there to sign that would be better then him. If Guerrero has a good offseason of developing he could be a star at USF. Just can't see who could come in and unseat Perry or him as starters. Would be nice to get John Carlos Reyes to sign since he's a skilled Big Man that can play either the 4 or 5 spot.

I believe that Luis Montero has entered the NBA draft.

I predict he'll do as well as well as D Scott did in football.

If I remember correctly,

He is considered a prospect for the NBA draft, but it doesn't mean he will enter. It still shows he is committed to USF, so that means something. I think it's still early.

COA needs to stop going after players that will go into the draft rather than sign with us us...

If true, and he worked out with NBA teams, I'd have to think he's no longer eligible to play in the NCAA.

The NBA draft is in two days, June 25. So, we probably won't have to wait long to get the final word on him.

SI draft article from today had their top 60 players, and he's not listed.

As long as he hasn't signed with an agent, he can still pull out of the draft and be college-eligible, right?
