You don't do what they have done all year and then not get rewarded with a #1 seed. Right now, regardless of RPI, they are the #1 overall squad. Even with a loss to us, the worst that happens is that they drop to # 3 or 4. You may be right. RealTimeRPI shows USF as a 2x quality win for UConn. But the rest of the AAC is so weak, it might drag them down to a 2. UL or UT might pass the Huskies based on better conference strength. Not to mention that all of this is likely moot anyways as UCONN is going to be a 25+ point favorite to beat us next week. NOT A CHANCE!!!!!!!!! GO BULLS!!! It is also a good sign that a team we beat handily was able to "out physical" Baylor (a definite #2 seed) and win the game at the free throw line. With the right draw, this USF squad could make a deep run in the tournament. We just need to avoid bigger, physical, defensive minded teams. Sucks to be Baylor this morning. Throws a monkey wrench into everything. With the right draw, this USF squad could make a deep run in the tournament. Hopefully, we will bring in some tall girls in the current recruiting cycle. IMO, That is our primary weakness.

Ferriera is a forward, also a freshman. Stringfield is our starting junior PG and just isn't good enough against elite competition. It showed in our losses to UCONN and even ECU. Laura Marcos-Canedo is our starting PG. Stringfield started 7 games when Laura was injured. I shoulda just said "Laura" in the first place. I don't think that loss will mean anything especially if they win the conf tourney which may very well mean it wont matter, for UConn, if UConn loses to us. USFs RPI moved up 2 spots due to Washington and Green Bay falling. Projection now is for USF to be a 7 seed and play Ohio State in the first round of Baylor's quarter w/ Louisville as a 2 and UNC as a 3.
