I've heard chatter other places that he didn't have a favorable opinion about USF and had zero interest in potentially playing there.  This was before he committed to Oregon State.  

And I heard the exact opposite about Pensyl from his coach, who I spoke to. I heard he had high USF interest, and that a couple of the USF guys came out to watch him, no offer came but he was hoping to get one. 

 

 

That's interesting considering the person I talked to was involved over there as well...  

 

Pretty moot point anyways it seems, doesn't look like anyone is taking him unless he walks on somewhere.

 

 

Yeah, either way I hope our coaches at least reached out to test the waters.

Just to be very precise, what the kid actually said was not that he was decommitting, but that he "was no longer committed to Oregon State."  His words.   You should check out http://www.oregonlive.

So either walking on somewhere is better than a USF scholarship these days or our coach doesn't think we have a QB problem?

We didn't offer him a scholarship, which means we don't have a QB problem.

 

 

 

Which gives me a case of the sads

 

 

 

because we have a huge QB problem....

Just because we don't offer every single QB out there doesn't mean that the coaching staff feels we're set at QB.  It just means that they feel these guys aren't going to help and we, like every other college, have limited spots.

Not offering him a scholarship doesn't mean anything. CWT needs to be bowl eligible next year. Another true freshman QB is not going to do that at least not at our end of the recruiting pool.

The answer for CWT is either on roster or in the transfer pool.
