Plant senior receiver/return specialist Jordan Reed has verbally committed to South Florida, Plant coach Robert Weiner confirmed Monday...

 

...It had been previously reported in December that Reed had committed to the Bulls, but Weiner said it wasn’t official at that time.

Plant senior receiver/return specialist Jordan Reed has verbally committed to South Florida, Plant coach Robert Weiner confirmed Monday.

 

Reed, a Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County first-team selection, finished his senior year with 768 all-purpose yards. Reed caught 26 passes for 244 receiving yards and five touchdowns, rushed 25 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns, and returned 14 punts for a county-leading 304 yards.

 

It had been previously reported in December that Reed had committed to the Bulls, but Weiner said it wasn’t official at that time.

 

Meanwhile, Weiner said senior receiver Derrick Baity, the team’s leading receiver this past season, has visited USF, Central Florida and will visit Kentucky this weekend. Baity could make his announcement on National Signing Day, Feb. 4.
