Cooper-Young had an ugly train track that ran over the street...as part of the areas clean up, the neighborhood association put a facade on the track, and used homes in the area as the design for the facade.

The yearly Cooper-Young fest draws almost 100k

They also had local artists paint the underpasses:

All those going to the game stay safe! Wouldn't catch me anywhere near Memphis, don't even care how good their BBQ is.

Oh come on, 48 hours is all about tv ratings

if you join a gang, and sell drugs...your life expectancy drops dramatically...I don't need a TV show to understand that.

Last time I was in Memphis I went on a wild ass ride in a pink Cadillac to some over hyped BBQ joint. Reckless driver would be an understatement and I'm from Miami. Saw Graceland though, it was one of the brighter blurs of light that we passed. I was happy to get out of there with my life.

Yeah, I tell people if you come to Memphis and eat at Corkys or Rendezvouz, walk up and down Beale, and tour Graceland...you haven't visited Memphis...you hit the tourist traps.

Cooper-Young, Overton Square, Memphis Zoo, Overton Park, Civil Rights Museum, Central BBQ, BBQ shop on Madison, Payne's BBQ, Germantown Commissary, Showboat BBQ, Interstate BBQ...

That's where Memphians go.

Interstate, German Town, and Central are my favorites!

Line as of today is Memphis by 20. That sounds reasonable for objective fans. If MW shows up, I think we can beat that line easily, but that makes me firmly UN-objective. :GoBulls:

So we are hoping against hope to not lose by 20? Go bulls... I guess.

http://www.commercialappeal.com/sports/tigers/phil-stukenborgs-tiger-football-insider-previewing-memphis-south-florida

With a postseason trip secured, the University of Memphis football team has moved on to its next quest: winning an American Athletic Conference title.

The Tigers enter Saturday’s AAC home game against South Florida with a 7-3 overall record and a 5-1 league mark. With wins over South Florida (4-6) Saturday and UConn (2-7) next weekend, the U of M will finish no worse than in a tie for the title.

Oh, and there’s that eighth win, too. If the Tigers beat USF, they’ll be an 8-win team for the first time since 2004 and for only the third time since 1973...

The crowd: Tiger officials are pushing hard to encourage a huge gathering at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. Having won four straight, including three on the road, the Tigers are hoping to approach the 46,378 who bought tickets to the Sept. 20 Middle Tennessee State game. Bowl officials like strong fan support. So do potential Power Five conference suitors.

Wow, that line is huge. I never thought I'd see the day we'd be that much of an underdog vs Memphis in football.
