Y'all don't mind Bear. he's acting out trying to get out from smazza's shadow.  Best thing you can do is put him back on your "pay no mind" list.

My one problem with this...   We are USF and our school colors are green and gold. Why the hell would we even consider a different color?

They should sell the purple ones at the game to visiting ECU fans so they can make some of their money back!

The only students dumb enough to wear the shirts would have been those in Student government.  Those that show up to the game will be wearing either the new shirts or something from the past.  It was a stupid mistake.  At least they are doing something about it now.  Not much more we can do but try to win the game to make it all go away. 

 

Student Government lives in it's own little bubble, much like the real government.  They garner about the same amount of respect too....

I wonder if they have, "fans" that go on their message boards only when they do make a mistake just to complain?

 

I don't know why you are getting so defensive. Opie posted a story about USF that I probably wouldn't have seen if I didn't view this forum.

 

If you can't laugh or comment about your school when they screw up, then ISIS wins. 

 

 

I'm not defensive.  It's not my error.  I just know that when I see certain members post, it's certain to be negative towards USF.  That's all I'm saying

If it's any help, in my four years at USF the homecoming colors always included purple. They probably just stuck with it for years and didn't think twice. Should've been caught earlier, but it's not like this is our first year including purple as our colors.

Thanks for stemming part of the lunacy going on here. While it probably should have been caught before Friday, I think it's been pretty obvious we're not what you call a totally dedicated football school when it comes to the overall student population here recently. It's the first time playing ECU in a long time and it's not like they're a household name to the fringe football fan. Purples is not one of the more popular colors for college sports teams. Bottom line is it's not like the HC shirts were orange with Tennessee coming in ...

How could you have missed it. It was NATIONAL news ...

Props for the ISIS line .... although, most of the negatives on here aren't laughing about it. They're whining like little girls ...

When you're going to a game (or make a shirt for a game), you wear GREEN as the base color. Full stop.

 

No white (unless it's a planned white-out)

 

No gold (unless it's a planned gold-rush)

 

No athletic grey, no black,

 

And certainly no freaken purple, REGARDLESS of who the opponent is.

 

Our colors are GREEN (with gold and white as accents)
