I guess the theory that Taggart can't get the kind of linemen that he needs to run his offense can be put to rest.

I expect we'll see all those that wanted him to design an offense around small 2 star linemen will be in here to eat crow.

You need to wait until they are performing on the field before you can make these statements. A high percentage of four star athletes flame out, and plenty of two stars have great careers.

Define "high percentage" in this example. 50%? 60%?

 

he  doesn't have a clue. his argument is that it's better to sign 2 stars than it is to sign 4 stars because a high percentage of 4 stars flame out while so many 2 stars go on to have success. i guess that's why Nick Saban likes to sign all those 2 star linemen.

YOU said that getting ONE four star OLine recruit PROVES that Taggart can recruit the players he needs.

By all accounts the first time is considered luck, do it over and over and then you've proven yourself.

I said it and it is boring to watch on a regular basis.   So you are saying our baseball scoring games against UCONN in the past were fun to watch ?  I enjoy a good defensive battle as much as the next guy but I'm all for trying to win a game rather than keeping it close and hope to kick a field goal in the last 4 minutes of the game (ie: Lovie) and then trying to hold on to win.

Gibbon's looks like a stud, he has the size, looks to move very well and a mean streak to boot....I like it.

If Gibbon is able to start next year, we are a team to fear in the Oline.

 

We have 4* and former Florida commit in Ben Knox, 1st team all-state in Zach Hudson, and now 4* Gibbon? With Thor returning, this oline will pave the way for Mike White and the Mack. Can't wait! Great pick-up!

All I'll say is that if taggart couldn't recruit, we would have never landed Benjamin Knox. We could have 4 star tackles bookending the line from 2015-2018. Yet somehow we're going to suck?
