Love TBP.  All summer, we complain when we don't hear from CWT, for example, we didn't hear anything about Dunk switching to CB until it was a done deal.

Now, we have posters on here saying they wish CWT wouldn't say anything and would just coach.

It's contradictions and inanities like this that make this place such a great one.

True...better still what sports blog in this great country can the word "inanities" be found?  Who has it better than us?  No one!

Glad he said it.

I really think he said all of the right things in his presser yesterday.

Now, I have no expectations for this team, and highly doubt we come close to winning the conference. But right now, it's his job to make us all believers.

What's the sarcasm font again?

Sometimes it really isn't needed, is it?

Look at Bear's comment to JTrue above. Apparently it's always needed.

Also, not sure if this is new info to many, but Taggarts 0-4 start during his second year at WKU included a thumping from FCS Indiana State, 44-16. I think a comparable loss to our NCST debacle.

There is definitely reason to believe Taggart can turn us around. He's done it before.

I'd rather him not say anything and just win it

Only if he's winning. If he's losing and not talking then everybody would be getting on to him about that,

That's actually less incentive to talk and more incentive to coach better and demand more from his players and coaching staff

CWT talks too **** much. He needs to shut up and get to coaching. And in the meantime, I'd like some answers on the QB situation. I think its fair to have him explain his thinking on White over Bench. But most importantly, he should stop with all the talking and get these guys ready to go for UConn. And when he does his radio show this week, I expect a full report on how he's planning on having them ready.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
