Has Jimmy Bayes touched the field? He's arguably our best recruit out of our class last year and I'm pretty sure he hasn't even played a down (I could be wrong). I actually agree with Smazza above, Play Them. If they aren't ready, put them into situations where it isn't high leverage. If it's a defensive end play them on 3rd and forevers, or CBs when we're down by 32 in the 4th quarter, etc.

I'd somehow forgotten all about him.  It's early enough to play him, if he's ready.  If not, likely headed for a RS. But, no RS is safe.

There will be more red shirts removed as we move forward. You're not going to dump a dozen plus freshman into one game for their first experience. Have to bring them in a couple at a time.

So far this season:

8 true freshmen

6 redshirt freshmen

8 sophomores who also played as true freshmen.

And how many 1st year transfers?

3 juco transfers (byrd, hill, pope) and 2 transfers (Adams and dungy).

That is 27 new players. I will just have to keep reminding myself of that every time we play. That is very high, I am really hoping for the late uptick as these guys get some experience.

To me this game this week is the most crucial game of the season,  We lose or dare I say get beat down like we did vs NC State, we wont bounce back.  (And Coach T gets on a Super Hot Bus seat)

We win in convincing fashion showing progress , than there is hope for the future with Coach T.

So Im calling all fans to Come out support the team( think of it as an Ice bucket challenge type thing) Be loud,  support the team let them know we are with them. Make Ray Jay a home field advantage.   Give them NO excuse to come out flat(playing in  front of NO crowd according to NC State Coach).

Lose this game  we may not see 10,000 again this season.

I think defense just had a bad game..possible Nc State might be ok team that played down to Fcs teams.

We gotta win this next game.

That many freshmen is going to cause growing pains. Hope the second half of season team improves.

This.

Every team has a game where one side of the ball has a bad game. Saturday, our defense had a bad game. Normally it's not as bad because the offense can pick up slack (for most teams). However, we obviously know that's not an option for us.

I think we will win this next game. I don't think it'll be in a convincing fashion, or pretty, but I do think we come out with a win.

I think Bayes needed to bulk up. He needed some serious strength and conditioning help.
